ANECCA Continuous Quality Improvement Officer Jobs in Uganda
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Study the District QI structure, advocate and strengthen the formulation of QI functional teams/committees at each level (District, health sub-district, and Health facility level) in the Health System with clear aligned roles in line with MoH guidelines for QI and ANECCA Uganda various programs objectives.
Monitor the conducting of quarterly quality improvement planning to set CQI targets/projects for HFs and performance review meetings by QI teams/committees at different HF levels while involving HFs key stakeholders in line with MoH
guidelines for QI and ANECCA Uganda various programs objectives
Develop or strengthen the system for monitoring the conducting of quarterly quality assessment exercises in HF & monthly investigations of incidents by QI teams/committees and feedback process from the QI teams/committees to HFs in line with MoH guidelines for QI
Develop and monitor the implementation of CQI work Plans and manage the CQI budget and as well monitor the integration and implementation of CQI activities into the district and HF’s work plans & budgets at in line with ANECCA financial guidelines and MoH policy for CQI.
Build capacity of health professionals in Continuous Quality Improvement in ANECCA-Uganda supported districts/Health facilities to promote QI awareness through trainings, mentorships and support supervision in line with the CQI training
manual of MoH.
Build and maintain partnerships and networks with other implementing partners and the regional stakeholders for Continuous Quality Improvement in the region in line with the mission for ANECCA Uganda CQI unit.
Develop a strategy to align QI initiative in supporting MoH in the accreditation of facilities in the region for ART and MNH standard service deliveries as well as Obstetric Cases in line with MoH guidelines for QI
Conduct operational CQI oriented research based on documented CQI related lessons learnt and organize periodic districts lessons learnt workshops for key stakeholders to share experiences in line with the mission for ANECCA Uganda CQI unit and research guidelines.
Required Education Training, Experience, other relevant skills& personality attributes.
A bachelor’s degree in medicine, Nursing, or any allied health discipline and registered with applicable council.
A master’s degree in public health or related field will be an added advantage.
2 years of experience in managing HIV/AIDs care and treatment programs/projects with a reputable international NGO, and direct experience with government and donor representatives.
At least three years of experience in Quality Improvement approaches and training clinical service providers. Prior experience in the use of Collaborative approaches in QI would be an advantage.
Have ever written research abstracts and manuscripts and even presented in conferences or published and have Key personal competences in Team, networking and communication skills, must be dynamic, Persuasive &convincing, self- motivated and able to demonstrate high initiative.
