Uganda Performing Right Society Licensing Officer Jobs in Uganda
Purpose:
Grow the Licensing business by licensing public users of music in line with the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act 2006 and any amendments thereto.
Main Duties:
Deliver high levels of professionalism and customer service.
Conduct sensitization drives to sensitize music users and the general public on Copyright Laws and the Society Mandate.
Guide licensees when filling out required documents and verify information.
Issue invoices to assessed licensees.
Monitor and keep a record of all transactions and prepare monthly reconciliations and reports.
Monitor and respond to queries and requests from licensees.
Send out notices and reminders to licensees reminding them of their dues and due dates.
Undertake research and keep up to date with industry trends and best practise.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Licensing processes.
Maintain a licensing dashboard.
Prepare and implement an annual work plan, forecast and performance targets for licensing activities.
Execute any other duties assigned by his/her supervisor, in line with his/her mandate.
Minimum Qualifications:
A relevant qualification in Sales or Marketing.
A minimum of years’ relevant experience in a similar position.
Good working knowledge of sales and customer service.
Knowledge of the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act is an added advantage.
