ICPAK Branch Administrative Assistant – Eastern Branch Jobs in Kenya
Job Profile:
The Assistant Manager ICT supports the ICT Department in ICT support assignments, projects management, systems administration, user training and maintenance of ICT systems and related infrastructure.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting the ICT Manager in Systems administration and implementation of all approved ICT projects.
Provide first level helpdesk support and timely problem resolution to all users on all ICT related issues i.e. Systems hardware, software, networks etc while ensuring minimum disruption to work.
Installation and deployment of user systems such as operating systems,
application software, drivers, printers, scanners, copiers, telephones and
ensuring they are kept up to date.
Regularly Review and maintain the ICT Assets Register/Inventory (including
licenses) and safe disposal of e-waste.
Responsible for the backup of user files, emails and assisting users with these backup processes and recovery of backed up data in case of data loss.
Support in the maintenance and updating of ICPAK website.
Assist the ICT Team perform incident detection and response activities, and the continually improving these services across both cloud and on-premises
systems and services.
Supporting the ICT Manager in the implementation of ongoing business
improvement activity including transforming business systems, processes and
technology into an integrated platform that meets organizational and business
management requirements.
Help manage and address security risks through an effective vulnerability
management and undertake regular security reviews and respond where
required, providing advice on emerging security issues, threats and trends to
provide visibility and assurance to the Manager ICT.
Perform any other lawful duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Person Specifications:
For appointment as the
Assistant Manager – ICT, a person must possess the
following qualifications:
Be a citizen of Kenya
Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
Relevant Degree in ICT such Information Technology Computer Science or
equivalent
Possession of at least two professional qualifications such as CISA, CCNA, MCP, N+, Project management, CEH, ITIL etc
At least 5 years working experience in a busy ICT Environment
Knowledge of Microsoft -Office Suite, Office 365, Windows 10/11, Windows
Server operating systems and linux
Ability to recognize and configure the function of network infrastructure such as routers and switches
8. Expert user of the majority of desktop applications
