Internal Security and National Administration Deputy Director Laboratory Jobs in Kenya
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
Served for a minimum period of three (3) years in the grade of Senior Principal Laboratory Technologist, CSG 7, or in a comparable and relevant position in the wider public service;
A Bachelors degree in any of the following fields: Laboratory Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology, Applied Biology, Biochemistry, Analytical /Applied /Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science and Technology or equivalent qualifications from a university recognized in Kenya; and
Shown outstanding managerial capabilities and demonstrated a high degree of professional competence required in managing laboratory services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
Formulating, implementing and reviewing policies, strategies and regulations of laboratory programmes;
Coordinating mentoring and evaluation of laboratory programmes and projects;
Implementing policies, strategies and regulations;
Coordinating the implementation of work plans and departmental budgets;
Laboratory operation standards (ISO 17025);
Liaising with relevant committees;
Overseeing matters related to laboratory services; and
Undertaking capacity building and performance management in the department.
