Activities
Serve as technical lead in the design, development, creation, management and maintenance of infrastructure projects to benefit project host communities.
To prepare and present technical dossiers concerning the detailed engineering of the project, in order to support coordination and the development of the Project.
Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the assigned infrastructure projects
Support as technical lead in implementing and maintaining an effective scheduling management system for projects across the department.
To ensure that the procurement activities are consistent with the technical requirements of the Project.
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
Evaluate performance and prepare project progress reports. Regularly review critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints and milestones; Provide schedule analysis and metrics to project stakeholders on a regular basis.
Identify activities impacting the critical paths and facilitate the identification of opportunities to accelerate completion of the work, or measures to avoid potential delays.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions as required.
Recommend actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time.
Person Specification
Education, Training, kills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management professional qualification is
desirable
Experience:
At least 7 years’ experience including field experience
Knowledge and experience in project management and planning
Ability to read and comprehend plans, specifications, addenda, bid materials, contracts and related construction documents.
Project management; demonstrable planning, organizational and execution skills
Ability to work with multiple teams in a complex and multicultural environment.
Relationship management
Excellent communication skills
Excellent analytical and report writing skills
Proficiency in Engineering software such as AutoCad, Civil3D
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
