Activities
The Stakeholder Engagement- Gender Inclusion Coordinator is responsible for the development and
implementation of gender equality and women’s empowerment in EACOP activities. This entails:
• The management of EACOP Gender and Inclusion Impact Assessment, from its development to the implementation of the EACOP Uganda Gender and Inclusion Strategy including monitoring and evaluation
• The participation into the development of EACOP Uganda policies and procedures to ensure inclusion ofgender aspects
• The development and promotion of gender inclusion programs in the EACOP LSOC activities in Uganda and within the Project in general (incl. development of focus group discussions, promotion of women recruitment, participation of Ugandan women owned businesses.) aiming at advancing gender equality andfemale empowerment
• The identification of activities aiming at fighting against Gender Based Violence within EACOP area ofInfluence, in particular through partnerships with relevant organizations/institutions
• Assess and identify potential gender – differentiated impacts of the project, including
opportunities for andconstraints on women’s participation in the projects initiatives
• Identify government agencies, NGOs, community based organizations and women’s associations or groupswhose work focuses on gender and the specific areas of intervention that can be utilized during project implementation
• Establish and maintain active relationships and liaisons with Government counterparts, multi/bilateral donors, civil society organizations, institutes and academia on gender equality and women’s issues tostrengthen key alliances and partnerships, enhance collaboration and promote EACOP as an agent of change in the field of Gender
• Prepare analytical and regular progress report on EACOP performance on gender issues
• Participate into gender related grievances resolution
•
Represent EACOP at conference and events related to Gender matters
• Produce communications products such as articles, factsheets,stories documenting EACOP
genderinclusion activities
Accountabilities
To manage and deliver the AGI, PS1or PS2 in a “Ready For Commissioning” status in conformance
with construction dossier within budget, project schedule and with utmost respect for the
environmental and societal aspects ensuring construction operations are planned and conducted
safely. Organize and Control the performance of the AGI construction contractor
Person Specification
Qualification:
Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 5-7 years in Oil &Gas Industry with similar large-scale projects
• Ability to adapt and to represent the company in discussions, negotiations and meetings with contractors, partners, and regulatory authorities
• Ability to effectively lead and manage a team; Sound organization ability; Ability to work in
a multi-cultural business environment; Good interpersonal and communication skills; Good
motivational skills.
• English as mother tongue or Fluent in English (speaking and with excellent writing skill)
