About US:
Good Brothers International Ltd is a client-centric company involved in Warehouse, depot, clearing.
The company head office is located at Plot 751, Kyaggwe Block 113, Namanve Industrial Area appropriate for quick customs clearances of both import and export.
The company is recognized for its excellent services and performance in the bonded warehouse value chain by the Uganda Revenue Authority.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Payments: Handle the payments process from start to finish and ensure proper payment records are maintained.
Review and conduct monthly and timely reconciliations of debtors, creditors, bank accounts, all cash disbursement accounts to identify differences and discrepancies in the accounts and prepare adjusting journals to make the relevant corrections and make timely monthly reports.
Petty Cash Management: Replenishment, Reconciliation of the Petty Cash account, Petty Cash Counts and maintenance of all Petty Cash Files and Records, Record keeping and filing.
Tax and Statutory Returns: Prepare and file all statutory payments e.g., WHT, VAT, PAYE, accurately and on time, maintenance of VAT unclaimed and claimed files, as well as conducting tax reconciliation.
Banking: Carry out daily bank reconciliations and handle all banking requirements of the company
Review and track Employee claims and expenses and make reimbursements once approved.
Compile a monthly report with all new acquisitions and share with the finance manager.
Ensure accurate depreciation of all assets is flowing into the financial statements monthly.
Participate in and support the audit process.
Provide Administrative support to the Head of Finance and undertake any other duties as and when required.
Ensure all payables and receivables accounts are reconciled on monthly basis to known schedules
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, finance or Business Administration and any other related filed from a recognized university.
At least three years of experience in the same field.
Should be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA holder)
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
Ability to multi task, prioritize and manage time efficiently with a professional Approach.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing and negotiation.
The ability to overcome obstacles to solve problems to achieve results.
Computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.
A personal commitment to continuous self-development.
