About the role
The People Support Officer is an exciting new role within our People team and will provide administrative support across our Agency on all HR/people matters. We are looking for someone with an understanding of our recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes and a commitment to supporting other People leads with similar tasks to ensure we have a consistent offer across the Agency.
Ideally you’ll have some previous experience in a Human Resources/People focussed role, but this is not essential. You should be willing to learn and able to quickly grasp new ways of working that will involve collaborating with multiple teams to ensure a smooth and efficient administrative support process.
If you are familiar with Bamboo HR and comfortable navigating it, updating information and employee data and using it to manage HR/People processes then that’s a bonus and will certainly help you to succeed in this role.
Key responsibilities
Provide HR administration support across the Agency.
Support the Assistant People Coordinator with recruitment logistics. e.g. publishing job adverts, forwarding applications to hiring teams, setting up interviews, creating interview documentation, emailing candidates with outcomes etc.
Complete pre-employment checks for preferred candidates in a timely manner, for example checking references and assisting with the completion of police checks.
Ensure new starters receive relevant correspondence for example offer letters, contracts, new starter forms as requested.
Ensure we embed our new onboarding practices across hiring teams and with performance managers.
Assist the Assistant People Coordinator with collecting and updating information for payroll on a monthly basis.
Maintaining up to date employee data in Bamboo HR
Maintain personnel-related data and records in Bamboo HR and any other relevant folders.
Ensure employee information requests/requests for annual leave etc are responded to in a timely manner.
Manage access levels and other relevant settings to ensure data is stored safely and securely in line with our data protection and other organisational policies.
Provide support to the Hub people leads and others on how best to manage employee data, ensuring job information, annual leave balances and other relevant records are kept up to date.
Other ad-hoc administrative support
Support the management of our travel system – TravelPerks – and associated approval processes
Ensure invoices/payments for people related costs e.g. DBS Checks, Bamboo HR, Peninsula etc are processed as required.
Support coordination of QSWs and Reinduction as needed
Assist with sending out feedback surveys for example for learning activities, training evaluation etc
Be an administrator for Restless Development’s Google Drive
Administer the online global Restless Way Induction Workbook.
Skills and experience
Essential
Accurate and thorough attention to detail
Proven organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and spoken English
Proficiency in working with Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Calendars etc), as well as Microsoft Office functions
Willingness to learn how to use new systems e.g. Bamboo HR
Desirable
Experience in a People/HR administration support role
Ideally holds relevant HR qualification or is working towards.
Passion for continuous learning and improvement
