Founded in 1950 with the aim of training doctors to work in developing countries, Doctors with Africa CUAMM is working in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and the Central African Republic implementing healthcare projects in partnership with local governments and institutions.
Requirements
Previous professional experience in logistics (transports, maintenance, minor rehabilitations) in fragile and/or low-resources settings
Good knowledge of English
Problem-solving aptitude and organizational skills
Dynamism, adaptability and flexibility
Key Duties
Supervising logistics in the area
Organizing and coordinating the use of vehicles, as well as materials and staff transportation
Coordinating the use of equipment in common areas
Supervising maintenance, rehabilitation or construction work
Regularly supervising the hospital facility and equipment in order to identify any structural problems and intervene promptly
Training and supervising dedicated local staff
Ensuring adequate storage of materials and stock management
Guaranteeing that all documentation needed for reporting on implemented project activities and the procedures followed be available
