Avenue Healthcare Unit Manager – Physiotherapy Jobs in Kenya
Job Objective/Purpose
To improve the medical condition of a patient by using a variety of treatments to alleviate pain and restore function or, in the case of permanent injury or disease, to lessen the effects of any dysfunction.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patients’ total physical function and mobility.
Design and implement a treatment plan based on the patient assessment.
Ensure that the treatment plans, daily, weekly or other scheduled plan which include using specialized techniques.
Ensure patients safety in a clean environment
Ensure patients are educated on their needs especially those who need long term rehabilitation strategy
Attend hospital rounds as required.
Maintain a good knowledge of patients, their assessment and management.
Understand and carries out doctors instructions promptly
Liaise with the Hospital Manager to ensure that all the necessary equipment is available.
Ensure all equipments are in good working condition.
Keep regular inventory of equipment.
Maintain a service checklist for all equipment.
Timely escalation of repair / replacement of equipment to the Hospital Manager.
Ensure decontamination of all equipment is properly and appropriately done after every use.
Ensure a low invoice rejection rate by enforcing exclusions, seeking pre-authorizations, proper documentation and timely delivery of invoices.
Ensure that all services provided are accurately and timely billed.
Collecting data and compiling monthly reports as required.
Ensure increase in the services offered in the department. Support marketing activities to ensure growth in client numbers.
Maintain good relations with our stake holders.
Ensure patient satisfaction through quality of care, communication, feedback and escalation through the standardized tool for patient satisfaction measurement and demonstrate follow-up and improvement.
Ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Ensure adequate Knowledge of Avenue Policies & Procedures
The Physiotherapist will ensure that he / she has read, understood and is conversant with all systems, policies and procedures as outlined in the Hospital Manual especially policies pertaining to provision of medical services and adhere to Government and respective professional standards of care and treatment of patients
Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description.
Personal Specifications
• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
• Registered and licensed with the Kenya Society of Physiotherapists (KSP)/PCK
• 2 years’ experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Result oriented and reliable
