Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Associate Knowledge Management Officer in Viet Nam. The duration of this post is 3 years.

The ADB aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Associate Knowledge Management Officer will perform the following functions-

  • Strategy and Planning
    • Lead the development and monitoring of the country knowledge plan (CKP) by working closely with the Country Programming team leader and the department’s KM focal point.
    • Co-lead the country programming mission (CPM) in identifying potential nonlending pipeline through close collaboration with government counterparts and relevant departments across the bank, collecting necessary background information, and monitoring of nonlending operations.
  • Operational Advice and Support
    • Undertake the RM’s key focal point for managing data, information and knowledge requests, and assists by providing knowledge products in the form desired by clients.
    • Develop and manage innovative and cost-effective on-line and off-line KM tools and systems to consolidate, compile and disseminate information and knowledge generated from various sources relevant for the DMC.
  • Partnerships and Innovation
    • Manage VRM’s knowledge partnerships and identifies enhancements in engaging with country and institutional knowledge partners.
    • Support the operationalization of the ADB Innovation Hub including identifying areas for innovation with Solutions Groups and the Markets Development Groups.
  • Other Areas of Work
    • Support the corporate KM program by implementing ADB’s Knowledge Management Action Plan (2021–2025) and its recommendations from the mid-term review and by identifying the KM training needs of the RM staff, ensuring knowledge flows to, from and within the RM in line with the 4 shifts of NOM.
    • Perform other duties that may be assigned and reflected in the incumbent’s workplan.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably with advance training in the field economics, or social science, or learning and development.
  • At least 6 year’s work experience in Knowledge Management, with at least 3 year’s in information management, social sciences, business management, development communications, leadership development or other relevant fields.
  • Ability to provide guidance to other AS on assigned area of work.
  • Ability to liaise and work effectively with government officials within own work location and with colleagues throughout ADB.
  • Ability to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
