Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Assistant Admin/Finance in N’guigmi, Niger. The duration of this post is 12 months.
DRC fulfills its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations – refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs) and host communities in the conflict areas of the world.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Assistant Admin/Finance will perform the following functions:
- Visibility and external coordination
- Participates in the coordination with the project managers for the realization of
- Communication products on the activities implemented within the framework of the projects. Ensures publication in connection with national and international news and the priorities of the mission
- Produces and updates factsheets on ongoing projects
- Participates in relevant coordination frameworks (clusters and working groups)
- Project development and reporting
- Participates in the review of internal monthly reports produced by project managers.
- Participates in the review of reports (MEAL, donors etc.) by providing a programmatic eye
- Support the PDQM in consolidating project proposals and donor reports when necessary
- Programmatic Quality Assurance
- Ensures that project launch, follow-up and closure meetings are organized and supports project managers in their organization
- Participates in project follow-up meetings and follow-up of action points in coordination with the various managers
- Manager of the cash transfer management and monitoring platform and support to project managers in its use
- Participates in the drafting of technical SOPs (programmatic strategies, implementation methodologies, etc.) in coordination with the PDQM and the technical coordinators
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- University degree (Minimum Bac +5): business school, international relations, political science, human sciences or other equivalent degree
- 1 year previous experience in project management within an international non-governmental organization
- Very good writing skills
- Perfect mastery of the office package
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English
- Very good organizational skills, proactivity, reactivity and dynamism
- Strong ability to work under pressure and deliver quality work in a tight time frame
- Good autonomy and flexibility.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
- Good understanding of the project cycle.
