Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring that weighbridge and platform scales are well calibrated and certified;
Ensuring weighbridge stations are in go od working conditions;
Compiling and maintaining primary data and attachment;
Ensuring cleanliness and functionality of machines before commencement of milling;
Preparing milling schedules and ensure implementation;
Overseeing labeling and storage of parchment delivered in the appropriate store bay and row;
Coordinating the security of coffee inventory and production line;
Overseeing under dried parchment deliveries have been re weighed to determine the net weight;
Coordinating the weighing and labelling of graded coffee according to the respective grades;
Coordinating the implementation of health and safety regulations;
Ensuring sealed coffee is verified and transferred to green coffee storage warehouse;
Ensuring repairs and maintenance of production machines;
Validating and disseminating milling statements;
Analyzing milling data and provide advisory;
Coordinating the implementation of operations guidelines, policies and strategies;
Preparing and forecasting budgetary requirements and ensure prudent use of allocated funds;
Facilitating stakeholder meetings;
Coordinating the implementation of production standard operating procedures;
Coordinating the implementation of ICO standards in coffee milling, storage, dispatch and shipment; and
Overseeing proper storage of processed coffee in a well regulated storage facility; and
Liaising with maintenance division on production machine’s efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
A minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience, at least three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory role;
Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: – Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Biomechanical and Processing Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: – Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Membership in a professional body where applicable;
Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
Proficiency in Computer applications;
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
