Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzing the market to identify available gaps;
Coordinating implementation of marketing strategies in line with a marketing workplan
Ensuring preparation of promotional materials
Ensuring the production and distribution of promotional materials
Ensuring Participation in trade fairs and exhibitions both locally and internationally
Coordinating the collection and delivery of coffee samples and catalogue for onward transmission to the Nairobi Coffee Exchange
Participating in developing and administering market survey instruments
Coordinating data analysis
Ensuring Compiling of requests from coffee dealers for direct sale
Ensuring maintenance of the e-commerce trade platform
Ensuring collection and delivery of coffee sample for direct sale
Ensuring preparation of documentation for shipment
Ensuring preparation of Marketing and Sales report
Ensuring partnerships and agencies created are maintained and enhanced locally and internationally for future business growth
Conducting customer satisfaction surveys
Reviewing and recommending appropriate actions
Ensuring implementation of policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines; and
Preparing and forecasting budgetary requirements and ensure prudent use of allocated funds
Requirements
A minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience, at least three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory role;
Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce (marketing option), Business management, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce (marketing option), Business management, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Membership to a professional body; Marketing Society of Kenya or Chartered Institute of Marketers or any other related field.
Certificate in a Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
Proficiency in Computer applications;
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Applicants with in-depth understanding in the coffee value chain and marketing experience is an added advantage
