Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implementing human resource management policies, laws, regulations, procedures and systems;
  • Analyzing the staffing levels and making proposals for succession planning;
  • Analyzing utilization of human resources and advising on proper deployment;
  • Analyzing staff progression and making proposals for career development;
  • Facilitating grievance handling mechanism;
  • Preparing the payroll;
  • Organizing training programmes.
  • Inducting staff and on-boarding programmes;
  • Undertaking training needs analysis, projections and developing training programmes;
  • Developing training materials for in-house courses;
  • Preparing of human resource management budget; and
  • Preparing periodic progress reports.

    Requirements

  • A minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience, at least three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory role;
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

    OR
  • Bachelors degree in Social Sciences Plus Diploma in any of the following discipline: Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Industrial Relations, Labour Relations or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: – Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Human Resource Planning, Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  • Registered member of Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM);
  • Proficiency in computer applications;
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
