I keep replaying this conversation I had with a coworker over and over in my head. This occurred about a month ago.
Backstory: It was the first anniversary of my employment at work. My boss brought me a certificate and a monster energy drink. In front of some other employees, he said some kind words and applauded me.
The next day, I am working with my coworker. He has always been very supportive of women’s rights, and we’ve had a lot of great conversations about the Roe v. Wade situation. I mention to my coworker that our boss gave me a certificate and a monster energy drink. He says “Geeze. I didn’t get shit on my anniversary. Apparently you have to show your tits to get something.”
At the time, I laughed it off. Now, it just makes me mad.
