Americans and Europeans, what do you not understand about each other?

I don’t understand why Europeans are so bitter towards Americans. Recently, there was a question asking Americans to tell something that Europeans don’t know, all the comments were light hearted about “don’t get too close to the bison” or “America is much larger than you think”. Ask the same question to Europeans, and holyshit are they ruthless, they go straight for the jugular.
