Adults of Reddit, what parts of adulthood did you not expect to be so different from your expectations?

I expected adulthood to be a lot more stable and predictable than it is. I thought I would have a good job, a nice house, and a happy family life by now, but things haven’t quite worked out that way. The adult world is full of surprises and challenges that I didn’t anticipate.
