Because The Expanse had a lot of great ideas, and they never got fleshed out. It got boring real quick. It’s not the space opera it could have been, and it feels that way. Everything feels halfway done but the blanket advertising campaign to get you to watch it.
They could have had an entire community of fans speaking Belter, instead the entire show was hosted on arguably the worst streaming platform and had zero merch.
They forgot what sells sci-fi: childlike wonder, happy endings to spaghetti westerns in space, and most importantly, toys.
I am super happy to see Shohreh Aghdashloo get so much work, she’s a fantastic actress that carries a mystique unlike any other woman in Hollywood.
I couldn’t name another actor in the series.
