Lay Volunteers International Association Project Coordinator Jobs in Tanzania
DESCRIPTION OF THE POST
Area of intervention: based in Pemba South Island, where LVIA will open an office with its Partners PIRO (Popular Inspiring and Relief Organization) and WW-We World.
Missions are foreseen in Dar es Salam, Dodoma and Unguja (Zanzibar)
Donors: European Union
Sectors: Urban development, access to basic services (water, sanitation, waste management), resilience, community participatory processes, gender equality promotion, participatory development and good governance
Role: Project Coordinator, representing LVIA in Zanzibar archipelago, activities planning and reporting, networking with Stakeholders and Local Authorities, supervision of administrative/financial issues (procurements, tender preparation, monthly accountancy, financial reporting), human resources responsible
Requirements:
Qualification:
Degree in international cooperation, engineering, economics, political science, social science or similar.
Previous Experience:
At least 5 years of experience managing NGOs activities at a Country level (headquarters and/or local offices) and/or implementation of international cooperation projects on urban development, access to basic services, community participation to development, technical assistance to Municipalities/Local Actors. Experience of conducting multi-actor projects particularly with the participation of institutional actors.
Knowledge and implementation of social innovation and/or human rights-based projects.
Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of administrative and accounting management, as well as EU procedures. Mastery of IT tools (Office package, internet, e-mail, accounting software, etc.).
