Job Summary
The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the storage, handling, and distribution of pharmaceutical products within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of pharmaceutical products in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all pharmaceutical items are properly labeled and stored.
Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to ensure stock levels are accurate and up to date.
Monitor product expiration dates and manage the rotation of stock to minimize wastage.
Ensure all pharmaceutical products are stored under conditions that meet Good
Distribution Practice (GDP) standards.
Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the handling and storage of pharmaceuticals.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including those from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
Handle any non-conforming products according to company policies, including
quarantine, reporting, and disposal.
Accurately pick, pack, and prepare pharmaceutical orders for dispatch according to customer requirements.
Coordinate with logistics and transport teams to ensure timely and safe delivery of products.
Verify and document all outgoing pharmaceutical shipments to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
Maintain accurate records of all pharmaceutical transactions, including receipts, storage, dispatch, and returns.
Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any issues related to pharmaceutical products.
Ensure that all documentation is kept up to date and readily available for regulatory inspections.
Implement health and safety protocols to protect warehouse staff from potential hazards related to pharmaceutical products.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of pharmaceutical products to the warehouse.
Provide support to customers and healthcare facilities on the proper handling and storage of pharmaceutical products.
Requirements
Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
Valid registration and practicing license with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
At least 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical setting, preferably in a warehouse or supply chain environment.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical storage and handling regulations.
