Bridge Talent Management Territory Sales Jobs in Kenya
Job Statement:
We are looking for a Territory Sales Agent, to cover the Mt. Kenya Region, who is passionate about supporting smallholder farmers through providing digital advisory services to coordinate, plan, and implement activities with our partners, clients, and farmers.
Key Responsibilities:
Together with the Head of B2B Sales & Marketing develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for their assigned territory, for our B2C and B2B products targeting both individual farmers and farming communities which include but are not limited to Cooperative Societies, Companies, and institutions working with farmers.
Identify and engage with potential farming partners and regional clients, including agricultural extension agencies, providers of climate-smart inputs, off-takers, providers of loans and insurance services, cooperatives, and other relevant organizations.
Conduct in-depth consultations with farmers and farming communities to understand their specific needs and challenges related to climate resilience and sustainable agriculture and market farmbetter best practices that address these challenges.
Act as farmbetter brand ambassadors, effectively promoting the benefits of the farmbetter platform and its tools, including the mobile app for extension agents and the WhatsApp chatbot for farmers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including extension agents, farmers, and partner organizations, to foster trust and collaboration.
Provide training and onboarding support to extension agents and farmers, ensuring they can effectively utilize farmbetter platforms.
Collaborate with the farmbetter team to tailor and develop product and service offerings based on the unique profiles and needs of farmers.
Monitor and track the progress of partner clients and farmers in adopting sustainable agricultural practices, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful implementation and enhance future sales of farmbetter product offerings to farmers
and extension agents.
Gather feedback and insights from extension agents and farmers to continuously improve the farmbetter platform and its offerings.
Report regularly on sales and marketing activities, client engagement, and the impact of the farmbetter platform in the Mt. Kenya and Western Regions, contributing to the overall growth and success of farmbetter.
Identify and prospect potential clients through market research, referrals, and outreach efforts.
Achieve a monthly, quarterly, and annual target for acquiring new clients, including individual farmers, farming communities, cooperative societies, companies, and institutions in the Mt. Kenya and Western Regions.
Ensure a high level of user adoption and engagement with the farmbetter platform among the region’s extension agents, farmers, and partner organizations.
Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Use these events to showcase the farmbetter platform and its tools, demonstrating how they can address the specific needs and challenges faced by the local farming community.
Provide hands-on training during these sessions to help participants understand the platform’s functionality and advantages.
Create engaging content from field activities that highlight success stories, testimonials, and practical tips related to climate resilience and sustainable farming practices.
Collaborate with local agricultural extension agencies, off-takers, input providers, cooperatives, and other institutions working with farmers to establish partnerships and alliances.
Attend relevant industry events, conferences, and agricultural fairs to network with potential partners and clients.
Leverage these partnerships to co-promote farmbetter as a valuable digital tool for enhancing climate resilience and sustainable land management practices in the region.
Requirements
A sales professional with experience working with farmers and mobile apps and with knowledge of agronomy, especially in regenerative agricultural approaches.
3 years experience working directly with farmers and with or as an agriculture service provider.
2 years of motorbike riding experience. ITS A MUST
Agricultural training from a reputable university in Kenya.
Strong network and track record doing agronomy-related work in Kenya.
Tech-savvy with strong IT user skills.
Approachable, able to work independently, and impact-oriented.
