Justdiggit is a fast-growing non-profit organisation on a mission to regreen African landscapes and cool down the planet. We aim to create opportunities
for local communities and strengthen their resilience to climate change. We inspire and enable millions of subsistence farmers and pastoralists to regreen
their land by combining rainwater harvesting, agroforestry and climate-resilient agriculture techniques.
We currently have two main offices, in Amsterdam and Nairobi, and 60 passionate employees divided over 9 countries: Kenya, Tanzania, Senegal, Ethiopia, Togo, Madagascar, the Netherlands, United Kingdom and Germany
Key Responsibilities
Involvement in the co-creation and development of rural communication strategy.
Support administratively and perform project management duties.
Ensure timely and successful delivery of (on- and offline) campaigns and documentaries.
Coordinate project activities at the County, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and
project objectives.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to
ensure successful outcomes.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, community
leaders, and other relevant stakeholders at the County level.
Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and consultations to gather input, address
concerns, and foster collaboration.
What We Ask
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Communication, Project Management, Development Studies or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of working experience in rural communication.
Willingness to travel over 80% of your work hours to project areas to have experience and
connection with the project Implementing partners and local communities.
Deep knowledge of digital marketing & technology and a strong understanding of navigating complexities of project management, financial oversight, and compliance.
Proven experience in project management, preferably in the context of rural development and
community engagement.
Strong understanding of program management principles, including project planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and facilitate collaborative decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of rural communication challenges, including access to communication services and technology adoption barriers.
Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages relevant to the project’s geographic context is an asset.
Previous media management experience is an added advantage.
