Table Mountain Fund in South Africa
The Table Mountain Fund is calling for concept proposals that align with at least one of the fund’s four Programmes – Fynbos Forever, Care, Prosperity and Pride. Projects must be based within the Cape Floristic Region; aligned to the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework; and address high priority conservation needs.
Registered organisations in good standing and with a specific interest in undertaking conservation action or research in the Cape Floristic Region are encouraged to apply.
Who Can Apply?
Registered organisations in good standing and with a specific interest in undertaking conservation
action or research in the Cape Floristic Region are encouraged to apply. Under exceptional
circumstances, organisations not yet registered as NPOs may be considered.
What Types of Applications Can Be Considered for Funding?
Although not outright disqualifiers, the production of videos and films, the publication of books, student loans, bursaries and internships will only be considered when strongly
motivated for and well aligned to Programme objectives.
Furthermore, in an attempt to support scientific and practice-oriented research, TMF will aim to select at least one science-action research project each year which supports the TMF Conservation Strategy.
This call for proposals therefore invites knowledge institutions and societal parties to form consortia for the development of scientific and practice-oriented research. The consortia should have a knowledge-chain-wide composition. Knowledge-chain-wide implies that proposals connect fundamental, applied and practice-oriented research and that connection is sought with the knowledge needs of societal parties.
