About the role:

The Senior Marketing Manager is accountable for devising and executing comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at enhancing brand awareness, acquiring new customers, and boosting revenue growth. This role entails working with cross-functional teams, crafting and executing marketing campaigns, evaluating market trends, overseeing budgets, and ensuring alignment with company goals. The Senior Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the brand’s identity, optimizing marketing channels, and achieving business plans through effective marketing initiatives

What you would be expected to do

Brand Communication and Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and grow the Sun King brand image and positioning strategy. Work with the in-house creative team to create great marketing communications and content that will drive brand awareness and consideration across multiple touchpoints. Select communication channels based on a thorough knowledge of our target customer segments by products and market. Engage with channel partners to achieve brand differentiation and deliver business results in the respective market(s).
  • Partner with the communications & PR team to deliver strategic messaging and overall corporate communications related to major milestones
  • Create and implement social media and e-commerce strategies to increase brand awareness, drive revenue and build a strong corporate brand.
  • Work cohesively with a variety of stakeholders across sales, product management and the central marketing team to ensure alignment on all marketing campaigns and activities.

    Brand Visibility and Awareness

  • Ensure visibility for all Sun King products in the market as per set targets.
  • Create and execute OOH branding strategy that will drive visibility and awareness for all sales channels for the business i.e. EasyBuy direct, Retail, MFI and general partners.
  • Create and implement store/shop branding strategies and processes that ensure shop optimisation, and ensure timely execution of shop branding in the respective geographies.
  • Leverage on multiple marketing strategies – ATL, BTL & TTL to address market needs and assist all sales channels.
  • Ensure all branding is implemented to the set Sun King standards (as per brand Picture of Success)

    Activations and Events

  • Develop and manage region specific brand activation plans and execute the concepts to deliver memorable impact on the targeted consumers, B2B Partners & Internal Stakeholders.
  • Develop sales activation plans aimed at aiding Sun King Commercial Business Unit (B2C & B2B) to assist in achieving targeted revenue and market presence levels.
  • Conceptualize, develop and roll out BTL activation plans in liaison with the relevant department and/or activation agency, and ensure achievement of set targets for the various campaigns through effective involvement, participation and coordination of BTL activities in the trade.
  • Ensure timely submission of regional reports, including post-event evaluation and the learnings and insights emerging.
  • Management of all Sun King Events (Internal & External) including Industry conferences. Work with the creative team to ensure all customer-facing materials adhere to Sun King brand guidelines, and that the Sun King brand is presented with impact to drive own, earned, and paid media exposure.

    Promotions and Sales Team Engagement

  • Work closely with sales teams in the development of compelling agent and customer promotions to drive sales of Sun King products.
  • Create marketing materials and other collateral to aid EO’s in effective selling i.e., Product videos, Sales kits and manuals, marketing POSM, marketing merchandise etc.
  • Proactively propose and develop innovative materials/tools that can be used for effective direct sales – (by sales team/ EOs, customer service agents).
  • Create innovative uniforms and other collateral (swag) for sales teams.

    Joint Partner Marketing Plans

  • Develop and execute joint marketing plans to deliver on business objectives for designated partners.
  • Work collaboratively with diversified teams of partners to create & manage integrated marketing strategies and tactics i.e. Retail, MFI and Institutional Partners etc
  • Produce quarterly tools and merchandise for partners to drive effective pitching, engagement and overall cost efficiencies.
  • Ensure all branding is implemented to set Sun King co-branding standards (As per Sun King Picture of Success)

    Marketing Budget Management & Cost Control

  • Effectively monitor and control budget allocation and deployment to ensure all spend is within the approved departmental budget.
  • Identify innovative ‘out of the box’ ideas on how to achieve efficiencies, save costs and overall effective utilisation of the budget.
  • Develop activity costs forecasts for validation & proper financial planning and efficient achievements.
  • Effectively manage resources allocated through close monitoring of activities and by providing assistance to the Commercial Business Unit (B2C & B2B).

    Agency and Supplier Management

  • Work with the procurement team to source for suppliers offering favourable terms for all marketing materials.
  • Develop and manage close relationships with agencies and suppliers as well as between the marketing division and other internal partners.
  • Drive cost productivity in procurement.
  • Manage agencies in implementation, execution and evaluation of marketing campaigns, ensuring high quality of all items being delivered to the highest of standards.
  • Ensure quarterly evaluation of activation agencies with procurement teams based on the set performance criteria.

    Research and Insights

  • Manage consumer and market insights research to generate robust consumer insights and comprehensive market comprehension that will guide communication and enlighten the business on crucial consumer, brand, and product perspectives.
  • Gather, organize, and offer product and brand performance feedback to internal stakeholders with input from the trade activation and sales teams to ensure that we enhance our products, services, and processes.
  • Cascade all research to the relevant internal stakeholders to drive data and insight-driven decision making.

    Team Management

  • Management of direct reports to drive business performance
  • Establish ways of working through routine team meetings with direct reports, respective sales heads and other relevant internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of priorities and marketing initiatives.
  • Take initiative in the identification and advocating for strategic projects that drive positive business results, brand visibility and affinity, and overall social impact.

    You might be a strong candidate if you

  • Holds a degree in a business-related field.
  • Possess 5+ years of hands-on marketing experience in the FMCG, Telecommunications, or Solar industry.
  • Are well-networked person with entrepreneurial energy and passion to develop large businesses from the ground-up.
  • Are capable of building strong teams and guiding them to achieve excellent performance.
  • Are effective in working cross-functionally across various geographies, regions, and teams.
  • Can demonstrates a strong capacity to assess data and insights to shape strategy.
  • Can exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Are an outstanding team player with strong communication skills.
  • Can demonstrates robust planning and organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Are highly results and performance-oriented with the ability to address issues promptly and advise the team on critical matters pertaining marketing
  • Are self-motivated and proactive person willing to take initiative, ownership, and accountability.
  • Are capable of establishing robust internal and external partnerships and forming strategic alliances.
  • Possess excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Have ability and availability to travel approximately 40-60% of the time.
