Role:

Site Engineer is part of the project management team, reporting to the Project Manager.

Responsible for all aspects of the project relating to supervising and coordinating all on-site activities. It also includes management of the on-site team to ensure that the day-to-day duties are performed professionally and expeditiously to support the project’s ongoing progress.

Duties but not limited to the following:

Monitoring and tracking the progress of on-site activities3

Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

Report and escalate to management as needed

Perform risk management to minimize project risks

Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project

Delegate project tasks based on all staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels

Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals

Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members

Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, construction, building, or related field.

Project Management certification is a plus.

Minimum 4 years’ experience in the construction industry

Able to handle CAD software tools efficiently
