The Role

As a Telesales Lead at Ilara Health, you play a vital role in leading your team to success. Our sales environment is focused on clear performance expectations. Meeting or exceeding targets is our consistent standard. Your responsibilities include monitoring, managing, coaching, and ensuring accountability for each team member’s daily objectives. Your role is to provide support and guidance as an accountability partner and coach to help your team excel in a dynamic and goal-oriented environment. Your leadership is essential in achieving and surpassing our sales targets.

Responsibilities

Sales Targets:

  • Achieve monthly sales targets in alignment with the budget provided by the Head of Department (HOD).
  • Establish, communicate, and drive weekly and monthly sales targets for the sales team.
  • Monitor and guide the team to reach their sales targets, offering support as required.
  • Prioritize the enhancement of conversion rates by implementing strategies to make the sales team more efficient. The goal is to increase the effectiveness of customer interactions, ensuring that a higher percentage of these interactions result in successful sales.

    Team Management:

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, offer coaching, and provide constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Implement effective time management practices to ensure efficient execution of daily tasks.
  • Strive for high productivity per team member, optimizing the use of team resources.
  • Dedicate at least 5 hours per week working closely with each team member.
  • Provide real-time coaching and constructive feedback on pitch delivery, needs analysis, lead qualification, and comprehensive product knowledge.
  • Ensure ongoing training for all team members to address gaps and enhance existing skills.
  • Maintain productivity per team member in line with the budget.
  • Ensure individual daily team activities/KPIs are met and entered correctly into the CRM

    Training

  • Spend time coaching your team and giving them live feedback on their pitch and ensuring they are working their territory efficiently.
  • Ensure continuous training, re-training and performance evaluations for your team.
  • Drive and champion team engagement and adherence to the company values.

    Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain a precise and timely forecasting process, covering daily, weekly, and monthly forecasts.
  • Regularly report on both team and individual performance, assessing achievements against established targets.
  • Implement a tracking system for team activities and generate weekly reports highlighting key insights and areas for improvement.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasting, covering daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Submit performance reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Deliver training and evaluation reports on a monthly basis.
  • Market Intelligence.
  • Have a working knowledge of the Industrys climate and competition to effectively implement the sales strategy.

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Any additional duties assigned by the Head of Sales and or Senior management in-line with the departmental and organizational objectives, vision, and mission.

    Requirements

  • Successful track record in Telesales – B2B sales.
  • 3+ years experience in sales management – B2B sales.
  • Successful track record in sales training/ coaching.
  • Sense of urgency and accountability.

  • Fluent in English and Swahili – written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with CRM applications – Hubspot is a bonus.
