Job Summary:

The Academy is seeking to recruit a motivated Physical Education Teacher.

Key responsibilities:

Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes that cater for the needs and development of the students according to age, ability and aptitude within their class.

Observing, assessing and recording students’ performance, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of pupils’ progress and development and prepare them for examinations.

Providing or contributing to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual students or groups of students.

Organization or active participation in regular extra-curricular activities.

Coach more than one sport and helping with contributing to the development of enrichment and

residential experiences for students.

Accompanying students for weekdays / weekends and overnight fixtures and tournaments.

Participating in the Presidential Award trip and trips related to co-curricular activities of the school.

Key Qualifications, Skills Required:

Education: Possess a Bachelor’s degree / A Post Graduate Diploma in Education in the relevant

subject(s).

Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ of teaching experience with exposure to the British National

Curriculum in IGCSE, AS and ‘A’ Level.

Possess: a TSC registration Certificate.

Fair knowledge of games like netball, rounders, football, tennis, athletics and swimming.

Must be a committed individual who is passionate to work with students.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff and students.

Knowledge and understanding of current trends in teaching and learning practices.
