KenGen Assistant Manager, Taxation Jobs in Kenya
Job Summary
Reporting to Manager, Treasury & Revenue, the job holder is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: –
Duties and responsibilities
Ensuring all company accounts are accurately reconciled
Interpretation and implementation of financial policies and procedures, Government circulars, letters and instructions
Developing financial regulations and procedures to enhance internal controls
Ensuring compliance with the relevant tax laws and identifying and recommending tax planning opportunities to minimize tax exposure to the Company
Tracking all taxable income and ensuring timely payment of all tax obligations.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: –
Minimum relevant experience of ten (10) years, with at least four (4) in a Management Role
Master’s degree in any of the following fields: Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration (Accounting option) from a recognized institution or any other relevant equivalent qualification
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration (Accounting option) from a recognized institution or any other relevant equivalent qualification
Certified Public Accountants (CPA) K or final ACCA certification
Registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or a relevant professional body
Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
