Our Client, a Global Logistic Company is seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, fostering relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth. The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
Set Key Performance Indicators for the department and follow up for accomplishment and handling non-conformance.
Supervise with the Business Development Team to ensure enhanced productivity.
Develop the business development plan and strategy for the company.
Coordinate the implementation of the customer management strategy.
Build key customer relations, identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close business deals.
Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance service offerings.
Collaborate with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and other industry stakeholders.
Negotiate and manage partnerships to optimize mutual benefits.
Qualifications
A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field;
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
Must demonstrate effectiveness in generating business leads, negotiating, and closing business,
Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of customs legislation, tariffs, import/export documentation, customs clearance, bond management and customs declaration.
Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of clearing and forwarding regulations.
Must be well conversant with port operations procedures.
Must demonstrate the ability to maintain good working relationships with all the stakeholders.
Must demonstrate ability to work independently.
Must demonstrate good supervision skills and be a good team player.
Must be flexible in work habits and schedules,
Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practice.
Must demonstrate commitment to operational effectiveness.
