Project Overview
Prevention and reduction of child labour in Uganda (PREC Project) aims to prevent and reduce exploitative child labour (CL) through strengthened civil society action in Abim, Kotido, and Napak districts of the Karamoja region by 2026. This will be achieved through the four interrelated objectives:
Position
Hope for Justice in Uganda is looking for two (2) experienced Social Workers who will be responsible for conducting childcare reviews, counselling, other psychosocial activities and establishing the most appropriate interventions for each individual child that are line with their assessed needs in the context of Hope for Justice’s mission, policies, values and the laws
of Uganda.
In this role, you will be responsible for tracing for a child’s home, conducting pre-visits, resettlement, follow up visits and work with key actors (Probation and Social Welfare Officers, Community Development Officers, NGOs, Local community leaders, Religious institutions, Clan leaders etc) for sustainable reintegration.
