In a small team environment, the portfolio manager of this private fund plays a crucial role in ensuring that the tenant experience is seamless. Reporting directly to the asset manager, and working with external property administrators, this role is multi-faceted and would suit someone with 10 years experience in commercial and industrial property management.
No task should be too small or to big for you to tackle, as this lean team looks to you to lighten the load of the asset managers by having the expertise, confidence and stakeholder management skills to make on-the-spot decisions which best serve both the shareholders and the tenants.
With high end, high rise buildings in the Cape Town CBD as well as various industrial properties in the surrounding suburbs to oversee, this mobile role will rely on your attention to administrative details as much as your leasing and project management skills. Oversight of the external property managers means you will have the maturity to lead and direct, as well as the ability to prioritise or act proactively to avoid or manage conflict situations.
