ASA Microfinance Loans Officer Jobs in Uganda
Job Summary:
The loan officers will identify and screen potential borrowers, carry out appraisals, approve loans with loan limit by reviewing applicant’s financial status, credit history, disbursing and collection of loans, monitoring and keep high loan portfolio, carry out business development activities and ensure smooth and sustainable operations at the branch level.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will acquire potential customers, support and retain existing customers and through their retention, grow the customer base of the market to deliver new customer and active customer targets.
Visit, assess and confirm borrowers’ and guarantors’ residences, businesses, and L.C 1 prior to recommendation of a loan.
In charge of verifying loan applications and customer’s documents to confirm authenticity.
Prepare documentation and submit to the Branch Manager for final approval of loan disbursement with limits on loan amounts.
To ensure that the disbursed loans are recovered back (collections) within the stipulated period.
To update clients about any new policies that maybe passed by management and ensure implementation of the same.
To review and update accurate information required concerning the loans and the clients.
Prepare and update in time all the necessary record books.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Must have achieved either a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Computer knowledge
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Self- motivated
Ability to work in a team
Ability to work under pressure
High degree of creativity and innovation
Customer service oriented
Must be willing to work anywhere in Uganda
Age limit: 24 – 35 years
