Job Purpose:

The Radiologist at the Hospital plays a critical role in providing accurate diagnostic imaging services. This position exists to interpret medical images, guide patient treatment plans, and

ensure the highest quality of radiology services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret a wide range of radiology studies.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Ensure the quality and safety of radiology procedures.
  • Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and practices.
  • Participate in research and clinical trials.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to radiology staff.
  • Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s degree (MMed) in Radiology or equivalent specialization from an institution

    recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Council.
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from an institution recognized by Kenya

    Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
  • A minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at a supervisory level or in a comparable position.
  • Evidence of having taken a leadership course.
  • Retention in the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Council register.
  • Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Council.
  • Recognition as a specialist by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Council.
  • Valid Practice License from the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Council.
  • Professional Insurance Indemnity Cover.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Fulfilled the requirement of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

  • Collaboration and effective communication within interdisciplinary healthcare teams for

    comprehensive patient care.

  • Commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards in radiology procedures.
  • Leadership and mentorship skills to guide and support junior staff members.
