Uganda Cancer Institute Assistant Catering Officer Jobs
Job Purpose:
To participate in the provision of Catering services to the Cancer Centre
Qualification:
Must have a Diploma in Catering Management or Hospitality Management from a recognized Institution.
Key competencies required for the post:
The incumbent should have key competences in: experience as a Catering Assistant or a similar role in the Hospitality industry, time management and good problem-solving abilities, understanding of proper food sanitation and hygiene, Excellent knowledge of catering practices and procedures, knowledge of catering budgeting, a team player, Customer Care and Public Relations and Communication Skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in the supervision of food cooking and its distribution to the wards.
Press order for foodstuffs from the stores and balances food ledgers.
Ensure proper food storage.
Liaise with user ward Units on special diet requirements.
Conduct regular inspection of catering equipment and ensure its maintenance.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
