Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya Testing Officer Jobs
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in establishing and maintaining the Registered Testing Pool (Track & Field and Road Running);
Establish a Yearly Individual Testing Plan in accordance with the athlete’s status, his-her competition schedule, the risk assessment analysis conducted, recommendations from the Athletes Passport Management Unit (APMU) and any other intelligence;
Issue mission orders and following-up on tests requests in accordance with yearly testing plan;
Day to day activities monitoring in the Testing Management Tool;
Issue and updating instructions to sample collection personnel for out-of-competition testing and ensuring their enforcement by service providers. Supervising implementation and monitoring quality of the out-of-competition testing programme. Focal point of contact for Doping Control Officers. Regularly reports irregularities and requests adjustments;
Monitor the Compliance to the International Standards for Testing and Investigations by the Doping Control Officers and their performance;
Verify non-compliances, incidents, potential anti-doping rule violations arising from the out-of-competition tests; and
Prepare quarterly reports.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Physical Education, Sports Science or Leisure and Recreation Management from a recognized institution;
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management from a recognized institution;
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Education (Sciences) or Pharmacy with a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
At least three (3) years’ experience in a related field; and
Proficiency in use of computer applications.
