Uganda Cancer Institute Cytotechnologist – Gulu Jobs
Job Purpose:
To assist in the formulation and implementation of policies, technical guidelines, standards and national protocols for cytology services.
Qualification:
Bachelor of Cytotechology;
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology;
Registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council;
Should have experience in clinical cytology for at least three (3) years.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Developing of policies, technical guidelines, standards and national protocols for cytology services;
Providing of technical support to hospitals and health centers relating to cytology diagnostic services;
Preparing of procedures, implementing analytical procedures, evaluating laboratory information; consulting with pathologists; reporting results according to protocols mandated by the Ministry;
Maintaining medical laboratory supplies inventory;
Implementing new programs, tests, methods,
instrumentation, and procedures by investigating
alternatives; preparing proposals; developing and
performing parallel testing; monitoring progress
