IG Sacco Society Assistant Credit Officer Jobs in Kenya
Overall Responsibility
The job holder will be responsible for the accurate, timely and proper processing and appraisal of all loans granted to members.
Key responsibilities
In-charge of prequalification of loan applications and give recommendations to the Credit Officer.
Comprehensively and satisfactorily attend to all customer’s/member’s inquiries and complaints regarding their loans.
Ensure that all required reconciliations and reports of all loans processed are prepared on daily/weekly/monthly basis for each type of loan product.
Ensure that all records relating to all loans processed are forwarded to registry for safe keeping and an acknowledgement report is safely kept.
Constantly advice the management on review and re-branding of Credit products.
Attend to customer enquiries and correspondences as per the customer service standards.
Updating members on their loan application status.
Analyzing risk ratios of clients based on their credit score and financial history.
Qualifications
Diploma in Credit Management/Accounting/Banking/Co-operative Management, or any relevant business related qualifications from a recognized institution.
Must be a holder of CPA/CCP Part II.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Registered member of ICM will be an added advantage.
A minimum of two (2) years working experience preferably in a reputable financial institution.

Excellent knowledge of loan application procedures and best lending practices according to state laws and regulations.

Reporting skills and deadline oriented.
