Tharaka Nithi County Assembly Medical Officers Jobs in Kenya
Requirements for appointment:
Be a Kenyan citizen;
Be a holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B., & ChB.) Degree from a University recognized in Kenya;
Have completed 12 months internship period;
Registered as a Medical Practitioner by Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council;
Have a Valid Practicing License;
Be of acceptable moral and professional standing;
Willing to undertake duties in any part of Tharaka Nithi County as they will be assigned from time to time;
Duties and responsibilities:
The Medical Officer shall be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for the following:
Attending to patients in clerking, diagnoses, management and follow- up;
Performing medical and surgical procedures;
Preparing and responding to emergencies and disasters;
Participating in managements of medicine and medical instruments and equipment;
Providing health educations;
Maintaining medical records, health information and data;
Counselling patients and relatives on diagnosis and bereavement;
Teaching and coaching Medical students, Nursing students and Clinical Officers interns;
Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
