Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join our team at Yalelo Uganda. As a management accountant, you will work closely with our finance team and senior management to provide insightful financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting to support decision-making.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Financial Planning and Appraisal, the right-fit candidate will:
Be the finance lead of the production/commercial department.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to help management make informed decisions regarding cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and resource allocation.
Perform finished goods quantity accounting and stock controls across the entire supply chain.
Perform stock valuation and feed accounting.
Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, development, and implementing solutions.
Monitor and analyze the financial performance of different product lines and sales channels.
Collaborate with department heads to assess and improve financial processes, controls, and efficiencies.
Prepare financial models and business plans for strategic initiatives.
Required Technical Skills, Training & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
3+ years of experience in management accounting or in a related role.
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Knowledge of aquaculture in a FMCG Company or related field is a plus.
Clear demonstration of a sense of urgency and energy in achieving set goals
Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently or as a team member.
Strong sense of personal integrity
Team building, coaching, mentoring, motivating and inspiring.
Effective Communication between senior management and departmental heads
Collaboration and partnering with other departments and functional teams.
