Sasol Manager Marketing Chemical Intermediates Jobs in South Africa
Duties
Contribute to ensuring and growing Sasol’s profitability through B2B marketing activities for Chemical Intermediates in the Performance Solutions portfolio.
Collaborate closely and support the Senior Manager Marketing for the Chemical Intermediate market segment.
Support and contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies and tactics, including initiatives to grow Sasol’s market share in target application segments.
Compile marketing and product literature and coordinate Sasol’s participation in industry events.
Support and contribute to the development of strategies and tactics to improve the profitability of Sasol’s Chemical Intermediate producing assets.
Scan the external environment and track technical and economic developments in the wider economy, chemical intermediate product markets and at customers and competitors; summarize information, extract insights and disseminate this information to the wider business team.
Extract data from Sasol’s business systems (BW, SAP); clean, analyze & interpret it; compile reports & dashboards (PowerBI super-user) for use in wider business team.
Prepare and present ad hoc analyses and presentations to customers and senior management.
Contribute to Business Warehouse master-data checks and maintenance.
Make suggestions on price calls and the setting of pricing, based on business intelligence and recommendations from Sales.
Understand global and regional Chemical Intermediates price drivers including supply vs. demand dynamics.
Measure price realization and accuracy of price calls.
Ensure proper price governance according to pricing policy.
Support Senior Manager Marketing/Sales and collaborate with P&O to allocate available products to sales regions and customers in a manner that optimizes profitability and minimizes risks.
Identify and exploits arbitrage opportunities.
Support the drafting of market communications e.g. FM notices, product constraints, etc.
Serve as the key participant in Demand Review; support Finance in preparing for Integrated Reconciliation Review.
Contribute to assumption setting, provide input into budgets and forecasts, develop budget data by customer/product/region incorporating supply-demand intelligence for Chemical Intermediates market.
Utilize knowledge of Sasol DOA and using Sasol’s prescribed tools and systems (e.g. ARC, BW, SAP, CRM).
Education Requirement
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering
Experience Requirement
7 years as Market Analyst or in any related job title in which experience in technical operations support, Asset/Product management, market analytics, supply & demand management, business reporting was gained.
