Shamiri Sacco Society Internal Auditor Jobs in Kenya
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Scrutinizing all transactions within the society to ensure correctness and accuracy.
Performing audit procedures to verify and ascertain that there is sound Risk Management and internal control procedures at the Sacco.
To ensure the integrity and reliability of the financial, standard operating procedures and controls are in place and in compliance with the Sacco policies.
Preparation of timely and quality reports detailing all identified and potential risks, internal control weaknesses and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Promote and enforce compliance to internal monitoring and control procedures within the Sacco.
Verifying that the appropriate management systems are in place i.e., guiding policies, plans, manuals, controls etc.
Ascertaining that the said systems are adequately utilized to produce the desired results.
Checking and ascertaining that resolutions passed in meetings are implemented.
Making accurate observations/reports for action by management.
Developing a system to assist the society detect and manage frauds, thefts and forgeries
Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a holder of a Business-related degree (Accounts/Finance) from a recognized University.
Professional accounting qualification(CPA-K,ACCA,ACA,CFA) and a member in good standing with ICPAK.
Qualification in CIA/CISA will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS).
Proficiency in ERP systems and working knowledge of an audit tool/software.
Team player.
