Standard Bank Group Manager, Internal Audit: Treasury and Capital Management – Specialist Jobs in South Africa
Job Description
To lead and review the audit process to provide independent and objective assurance over liquidity and funding risk, covering Treasury and Capital Management. This includes assessing risk to inform the audit plan, audit scoping, testing and reporting. It requires subject matter expertise in capital management, including specialised knowledge in regulatory capital, liquidity management and interest rate risk in the banking book.
Build strong relationships with relevant senior internal stakeholders to understand the business and to enable assurance processes and GIA’s wider objectives.
Assess, identify and report on practices in the scope of audit projects which negatively impact client experience and raise recommendations to improve client experience.
Adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements on internal audit and manage adherence across the team on audit projects.
Develop and maintain a risk assessment on all areas of risk origination and risk management of the business area responsible for, covering all the risk types to inform audit planning and reporting.
Contribute to the effective development of audit technology by providing input on technology needs.
Identify and implement effective use cases of data in automated assurance
Minimum Qualifications, certifications or professional memberships
Degree (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Commerce) – Min
Post Graduate Degree (Chartered Accountant, Finance, Economics, Banking, Chartered Financial Analyst) – Pref
Relevant professional membership will be required based on specialty – Pref
Other Preferred Qualifications, certifications or professional memberships
Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Econometrics
Experience Required
5 – 7 years: Planning and executing audits.Managing and engaging with various stakeholders at a Senior Level. Experience in managing and leading teams with a proven track record of delegating and prioritizing tasks. Must involve experience in auditing capital and liquidity management.
1 – 2 years: Experience analysing complex sets of data to interpret, visualise and identify trends.
1 – 2 years: Experience in technology controls to manage risk.
OR
6 – 8 years: Experience in capital and liquidity management.
