State Department for Lands and Physical Planning Deputy Director, National Lands Information Management System Jobs in Kenya
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
Served for a minimum period of three (3) years at the grade of Assistant Director Lands Information Management System, CSG 7 or in a comparable and relevant position in the wider public service;
A Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields: Geomatics Engineering, Land Economics, Geospatial Information Systems, Geographical Information System, Environmental Planning and Management, Geospatial Engineering, Land Survey, Law (LLB), Land Administration, Geography, Photogrammetry, Urban and regional Planning, Computer Science/ICT, Software Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;
Membership to a relevant professional body (where applicable); and
Demonstrated managerial and administrative capability, and professional competence in work performance and results
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-
Formulating and implementing policies, strategies, strategies, standards and guidelines for NLIM System;
Developing, implementing and maintaining NLIM System;
Managing land information system;
Analyzing requirements for integration of land information;
Liaising with relevant stakeholders on integration of land information;
Coordinating user need analysis for NLIMS;
Managing and maintaining of land information database;
Designing and implementing mechanisms and strategies for digital/electronic data security and integrity;
Conducting user needs assessment for the integrated payment gateway for land transactions;
Development training and capacity building programmes for NLIMS users;
Coordinating research on emerging technologies on land information management;
Undertaking audits, monitoring and evaluation of the NLIM System; and
Mentoring of staff
