Private Sector Foundation Uganda Programmes and Partnerships Coordinator Jobs in Uganda
Job Purpose:
The Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is the apex business membership organization in the country. PSFU has established a Program-Project Management and Delivery Unit (PPMDU) that will have oversight over the full program-project
cycle from project conceptualization, design, implementation, monitoring and closure.
The Programs and Partnerships Coordinator’s role will coordinate strategic engagements, develop, and implement strategies to grow effective partnerships and manage programs that contribute effectively to the delivery of the organization’s purpose, ambition, and goals, while also meeting partners’ objectives. The post holder will be responsible for driving the partnership efforts; promoting inclusive partnerships; and will also lead on program-project development.
Duties and responsibilities
Programs and Projects Development, Delivery and Management
oordinate strategic planning, annual planning and budgeting and other program planning processes, and ensure that implementing partners are involved where appropriate.
Coordinate and participate in proposal writing, program-project design and development and nurture new program-project initiatives.
Coordinate and ensure the successful implementation of short-term projects-programs.
Coordinate the evaluation and progress of programs-projects under your jurisdiction and suggest timely interventions.
Coordinate partner institutions and development partners in programproject planning and design and ensure the organization’s ideas are represented.
Partnership Development
Coordinate and support engagement on trade facilitation to leverage partnership opportunities and ensure that private sector interests are well represented.
Cultivate and manage relationships with strategic partners (including institutions) at different levels, current and potential funders.
Conduct partner mapping and facilitate the identification of full range of potential partners.
Coordinate ongoing relationships with existing partners and where possible leverage them to greater collective impact.
Coordinate the integration of stakeholder interests into program-project planning and development of innovative projects.
Coordinate with all other program-project units under the PPMDU to advance the work of partnership development.
Support the function of effective negotiation, development, appropriate signing and management of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and partnerships.
Other responsibilities
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Certifications/Education Requirements
Master’s degree in economics or an equivalent record of professional achievement with a demonstrated track record of success.
Bachelor’s degree in economics or an equivalent record of professional achievement with a demonstrated track record of success.
Certification on Project Management from a reputable academic institution (preferable) is an added advantage.
Professional Experience
At least ten years demonstrable experience in private sector development.
At least ten years demonstrable experience in trade policy and trade facilitation.
At least ten years’ demonstrable experience in gender, women in trade, women in business, women in leadership.
At least ten years demonstrable experience in project conceptualization, design, planning, implementation, management, and delivery.
Demonstrated experience of working with a private sector member-based organization.
At least ten years demonstrable experience and expertise in concept development and project proposal writing.
At least ten years demonstrable experience in leading and implementing projects independently as well as managing staff, peers and colleagues to complete required deliverables.
Demonstrated problem solving skills, collaboration experience, creativity and willingness to innovate.
Desirable skills

Ability to create and maintain good working relationships with a variety of diverse partners.
Strong organizational, time management and project management skills.
Ability to multi-task effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office.
Demonstrated flexibility working under pressure.

A sense of leadership, initiative and ownership of project area.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and/or direction.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other Google workplace applications.
