Description
Reesponsible for skilled masonry work involved in the construction and repair of various structures, including roads, bridges, culverts, retaining walls, etc.
Ensuring the quality and durability of the constructed elements.
Apply expertise in working with materials like concrete, stone, brick, and masonry blocks to create stable and aesthetically pleasing structures to contribute to the construction of robust and resilient road infrastructure.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
Concrete Work: Prepare, pour, and finish concrete for foundations, pavements, and structures.
Bricklaying: Lay bricks, stone, or blocks to construct walls, culverts, and retaining structures.
Surface Finishing: Apply finishing treatments to surfaces, such as plastering or troweling.
Formwork Construction: Build formwork for concrete pours, ensuring proper shape and alignment.
Alignment and Levelling: Ensure accurate alignment, level, and plumb of constructed elements.
Material Handling: Lift, move, and handle heavy construction materials safely.
Repair and Restoration: Repair and restore existing masonry structures as needed.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and use protective equipment during construction activities.
Quality Control: Ensure that masonry work meets specified quality standards and designs.
Tool Maintenance: Maintain and clean tools and equipment used in masonry work.
Collaboration: Coordinate with construction teams to communicate test results and provide recommendations.
Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Quality of Work: The quality and durability of constructed masonry elements.
Alignment and Levelling: Accurate alignment, level, and plumb of constructed structures.
Safety Adherence: Following safety guidelines and protocols during construction.
Timely Completion: Completing masonry work within established timelines.
Material Efficiency: Efficient use of construction materials to minimize waste.
Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
Masonry Skills: Expertise in working with concrete, stone, brick, and masonry blocks.
Construction Techniques: Proficiency in various masonry techniques, including formwork construction, bricklaying, and surface finishing.
Alignment and Levelling: Skill in achieving accurate alignment, level, and plumb of structures.
Safety Awareness: Prioritizing safety during masonry activities and adhering to safety protocols.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring precision and accuracy in masonry work.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy materials.
Problem-Solving: Addressing challenges related to masonry construction and finding solutions.
Team Collaboration: Effective collaboration with other construction team members.
Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
Working experience: Possession 3 years working experience.
