National Employment Authority Integrated Management System Principal Quality Assurance Jobs in Kenya

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning and designing an overall risk management process for the Authority; (ii) Conduct regular monitoring visits to the regions to ascertain quality;
  • Establishing and quantifying the Authority’s ‘risk appetite’, i.e. the level of risk the Authority is prepared to accept;
  • Reporting risk in an appropriate way for various internal stakeholders so they understand the most significant risks and to management to ensure they are aware of risks relevant to their departments/divisions and to individuals to understand their accountability for individual risks;
  • Providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the Authority; developing and establishing the Authority’s quality procedures, standards and specifications;
  • Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures in line with ISO standards and guidelines;
  • Managing risks and providing assurance
  • Reviewing changes and suggestions in the improvement of governing policies and procedures;
  • Carrying out quarterly assessments for compliance and risk assessment at the Authority.

    Academic Qualifications/Professional Skills/Expertise:

    Requirements for appointment to this position For appointment to this grade, a person must have: –

  • At least eight (8) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which must have been at a supervisory role;
  • Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Statistics, Business related studies or related disciplines from a recognized institution;
  • Masters degree in in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Statistics, Business related studies or related disciplines from a recognized institution;
  • Be a Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Risk Management Professional (RMI-PMI), Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA); and/or Certified ISO Auditor or any other relevant qualification;
  • Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing;
  • Proficiency in computer applications;
  • Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
  • Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
