Turkana County Assistant Director, Social Protection Jobs in Kenya
Duties and Responsibilities
Formulation, implementation, coordination and supervision of social welfare programmes;
Coordination of social welfare work and delivery of welfare services;
Coordinate policy as well as manager any donor funded support;
Procure and distribute education /medical and recreational materials and equipment;
Assist in coordination of general administrative duties;
Drawing up budget for the directorate;
Dealing with human resource matters in the Directorate;
Perform any other duty assigned from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment
Have served in the a comparable and relevant position in the public service;
Have Bachelor’s degree in any of the Following disciplines; social work, sociology; psychology, mental Health, Anthropology, Counselling or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Have master’s degree in any of the Following disciplines; social work, sociology; psychology, mental Health, Anthropology, Counselling or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Be fully conversant with the County government policy on social welfare and rehabilitation; and
Have demonstrated professional competent and administrative capacity
