Duties

The Housing Clerk serves as the housing subject matter expert and advisor on repairs and maintenance issues in all government-provided housing. The job Holder serves as the interlocutor with landlords, contractors, embassy technicians, and tenants to make sure that work is completed on time and in accordance with embassy residential standards.

Additionally, the Housing Clerk routes and tracks customer service requests in myServices and maintains RPA database and residential issue databases.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Experience:

Minimum four (4) years’ experience, including either two (2) years or more of administrative experience or two (2) years or more of real estate or marketing experience

Education Requirements:

Completion of Secondary School Education is required

Evaluations:

Language:

Good working knowledge of English and Kinyarwanda (This may be tested)

Job Knowledge:

Knowledge of building maintenance procedures and safety rules is required. A general knowledge of local city real estate laws, regulations, and procedures as they relate to residential leasing and contracting is required.
