MTN Manager – High Value Segment.Marketing Jobs in Uganda
Main Job Functions:
Ownership of the HVC segment KPIs including growth of customer, revenue, usage and retention.
Management of production process for the defined segment (on time and within budget).
Complete accountability of value proposition design and customer experience relating to product and service portfolio
Pro-active base management through flytxt, LCMS and campaign library
Product value proposition evolution and life cycle management
Constantly review the Segment marketing mix to ensure MTN remains competitive and achieves Business plan objectives.
Prepare presentations for internal and external use (pre-launch, during and post)-GTM, Messaging journey.
Analyze the market environment and undertake proactive planning to ensure the effective implementation of the marketing mix (Price, Place, Promotion, Product, and processes)
Create and maintain a dynamic and consistent positioning, image, and presence within the segment for MTN (while conforming to MTN Corporate Identity)
Coordinate the conceptualization and implementation of an end-to-end communication strategy which includes ATL (TV, cinema, print, radio, and internet) and BTL elements (merchandise, collateral, POS, promotions, and events).
Leverage internal and external customer analytics to identify and understand the consumer decision making process within the segment.
Manage segment product portfolio to optimize revenue and profitability (Grow overall profitability of existing product offerings that appeal to the Segment)
Monitor the local and international environment to identify new products and services opportunities which are relevant to the segment.
Contribute to the overall department for strategy development.
Supervisor/leadership/managerial Tasks
Briefing and management of the production process for the segment
Planning, supervision and coordination of events including the agency and internal project teams allocated to the events.
Discretionary management of the segment budget as allocated by the Senior Manager Consumer
Marketing so that (optimal) maximum effectiveness is achieved and so that fiscal is within budget.
Presentations to Marketing Management/Leadership team and key MTN group stakeholders
Constantly review the Segment marketing mix to ensure MTN remains competitive and achieves Business plan objectives. ( Re-evaluation of market strategy as it relates to the market dynamics of the time and the management of the resources and the incumbents disposal to ensure maximum effectiveness of the strategy with regards to the meeting of the requirements of the business plan).
Vulnerabilities (control span)
Changing market dynamics require constantly updated budget and strategy plans
Largely dependant on Brand Marketing direction
Periods where activities in more than one segments occur at the same time
Inner and intra departmental collaboration
Education:
Degree in Marketing/business related field
Experience:
4 years’ experience in marketing or brand & communication
Telecommunication experience is an added advantage.
